Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE)

PSHE education is the subject through which pupils develop the knowledge, skills and attributes they need to keep themselves healthy and safe, and prepared for life and work. It encourages care and respect for themselves and others. In order to promote citizenship, important moral and social issues, which arise from modern society, are emphasised.

Our curriculum aims to develop skills and attributes such as resilience, self-esteem, risk-management, team-working and critical thinking in the context of three core themes: health and wellbeing, relationships and living in the wider world (including economic wellbeing and aspects of careers education).

We use ‘Votes for Schools’ and ‘Picture News’ to develop your child’s understanding of the wider world, British values and what it means to be a good citizen who contributes to society.
